Much of the trouble in the days of the old west came after the civil war. Restless soldiers turned to the Owl Hoot Trail but worse than these were other men who used the young hotheads for their own selfish ends. United States Marshal Wild Bill Hickok and his big deputy Jingles ran right in to the middle of just such a situation in the story called The Du Caine Revenge.
