The Lone Ranger knew that a syndicate backed by an unknown man of mystery, was trying to gain control of all the redwood on the west coast. One man, Donahue, who had set fire to a stand of timber was in jail. The Lone Ranger and Tonto rode into the county seat and reined up so that the Lone Ranger could speak with the Sheriff.
