Johnson wants to borrow $500 from the bank for a down payment on a house, and he needs the money by Friday. But the bank refuse the loan on the basis that he doesn't earn enough, and so now he's begun to panic. He blew all of his savings in the summer and doesn't have a spare dime. His girlfriend is expecting him to make the payment, and has refused to even consider getting married until they have some security - so he needs to find a solution.
