The family have gathered together in the hospital where Sammy is being ready to move back to Lastonbury, back home. The question that is foremost in their minds is should Sylvia be permitted to go back with the Goldbergs? Sammy wants her along; he even wants to marry her because he feels he is partly to blame for everything that has happened. But Jake doesn’t want the girl even though Molly has said she can come along.
