When an old friend of Doc’s, Dr Henry Wilson dies the Doc receives a visit from a Dr William Wilbur from Philadelphia. The Doc and Dr Wilson had been close friends who went through medical college together then after the war Dr Wilson had set up a practice in Philadelphia. Upon his death he wanted Doc Adams to run his practice and had made sure the position would be attractive to him both financially and professionally.
