Henry Hudson was a well-known English explorer and navigator in the 17th century. He was the third explorer to search for the North-West Passage. Today's tale begins at the port of London, in April 1610, as the boat Discovery sets out on a voyage of exploration, and is based on Henry Hudson's last tragic voyage to the England sea which bears his name.
