Adeline informs Gildy that they have known each other for two months and Gildy wanting to appear sensitive invites her over for dinner with his family on Saturday. However he forgets that Birdie isn’t going to be around on Saturday to cook dinner. He doesn’t want to let Adeline down and decides to hire a cook. However Floyd tells Gildy of an idea how he can get dinner cooked for free in his own home. If he acts like he is interested in purchasing some cookware from Hercules Kitchenware a salesman will come round and demonstrate his cookware and even bring his own food to cook and he even acts like a waiter too. So now Gildy won’t have to disappoint Adeline with his own recipe of Mulligatawny a la Gildy!
