I've had ten years to think over what I did. Ten years since I decided to leave Korea in an American uniform and disappear behind the Iron Curtain. You're probably wondering what made us do it? Why did we stay behind when the other prisoners of war went home? Why did we become 'traitors'? It's not easy to answer, and I can only speak for myself... But maybe if I tell you how it happened to me, you'll understand.
