Daniel Danfield and his secretary Rusty are in attendance at the engagement party of Miss Hazel Humphrey. Mr Humphrey comments to Danfield that he is disturbed that his wife Enda is wearing her famous diamond pendant, which is valued at $100,000. Meanwhile Rusty has noticed that the bride to be doesn’t look happy about her engagement to the oafish count.
