Declaration and Washington Farewell

Declaration and Washington Farewell

Broadcast: July 2, 1939
Added: Jul 04 2021

Today's presentation recognizes that religion and its practice are almost impossible without liberty and also recognizing that under our Republican form of government (at the time of broadcast) we in this country are blessed with liberty Father Coughlin has deemed it fitting to read for you the Declaration of Independence around, which all the glories of fourth of July are concentrated.

Following the reading you will hear portions of George Washington's farewell address, an address immortalized for its thoughts on the ethics of a third term for any president and for its sound advice to all Americans and their attitudes towards those who, even under the fiction of progress, attempt to change our constitution.
