Dr Karl Dickens has a box with a head in it, the head of death, the death which he believes is coming for him at 11 o'clock tonight. It all began two weeks ago when he heard a tapping on his window and a black miner bird flew in and told him "it is later than you think".  Two days later following the death of one of Dr Dickens patients he met the bird again with a man named Charon who tells him he can predict death. The miner bird again told him it was Late, "later than you think."
