Joe Hearn was a night watchman for a warehouse on the coastline. He contacted Barrie Craig to accompany him on a visit but didn’t tell him where. He paid Craig $25 which was rich for a small job. Hearn wanted Craig to make sure he got there alive but he was unsuccessful. Craig didn’t feel he’d earned the $25 in his pocket and continued to investigate the murder of Joe Hearn.
