Tonight's story opens in a dressing room at the rodeo. Burt Calvin, a cowboy rodeo performer sits with a moody look on his face as the door bursts open and his wife comes sailing in. Shirley's also a rodeo performer, and has been competing in the roping, and she's pretty tired now. Rodeoing is a kid's racket, and she's not getting any younger. In fact, what she really wants to do is retire from the rodeo and move back to Texas.
