Death And The Emperor

Death And The Emperor

Broadcast: 17th September 1947
Added: Aug 24 2009
Edith was employed by Mrs Cole to look after her prize Persian cat Emperor. Mrs Cole asked Edith to write a booklet on the subject that Mrs Cole would of course get the credit for. Edith wanted to be credited at least as co-author but Mrs Cole reminded her that when she died Edith would inherit all her wealth and cats. Edith fears she has overstepped the mark when she later hears Mrs Cole on the phone to the employment agency seeking someone knowledgeable in handling Persian cats. Edith decides that she will murder Mrs Cole.
