Danny had been living with Morgan who was totally blind since he was 14 years old as his companion and his slave. Danny wanted to marry his love Martha but her wealthy father was not prepared to give her any money to marry. Danny turned to Morgan and asked if he would give him $10,000 of the money he would inherit anyway, so that he could marry Martha but Morgan refused so Danny decided he would kill Morgan.
