Lou and Dottie Dunn read an article in a newspaper about an old man, William Jenson, discovered wandering through the streets in a semi conscious condition with lack of food and $20,000 in $100 bills mixed with crumbs of bread in his pockets. They recognize him as the man who lives in the apartment above them and decide to murder him and make it look like suicide and rob him of his money.
