The sun was setting beyond the distant hills, and the wagon train under the leadership of Geoff Penrose, was getting ready to make camp for the night. But before the great circle could be formed, a band of Indians swept over the rise! They seemed to be Apache from their warpaint, and instantly the alarm was shouted from wagon to wagon. Instead of following their usual tactics, the Indians headed straight for the largest wagon in the train.
