When Rex Dryden entered the office of the Dryden Mining Company with Jake and Ben, John Dryden was slumped over his desk, a bullet through his back. Rex walked to his brother's side, pulled him upright to the chair by the shoulder of his coat. After a moment, he let the body drop back to the desk. He's dead.
