This is the true but little known story of a young man who risked political defeat in order to help a friend. His name was Abraham Lincoln, a man whose sense of justice was greater than his ambition. 

Abraham Lincoln was born on February 12th, 1809. He became the 16th President of the United States, serving from March 1861 until his assassination on 15th April 1865.
