When Tessa first meets Lewis Dodd, a handsome composer and family friend, maybe he should have known from that moment that Tessa was hopelessly in love with him. But he didn't. Lewis soon becomes taken with Tessa's cousin Florence and two soon marry and head off for England. Meanwhile, Tessa goes to (and runs away from!) finishing school, before moving in with Florence and Lewis - but will the bond between Tessa and Lewis come between Florence and her husband?
