Humphrey Bogart reprises his role as Richard Mason from the famous Warner Bros picture. 

On their fifth wedding anniversary, Richard asked his wife once again for a divorce, and received the usual wildly negative reply. Kathryn had suspected for some time that he was in love with her younger sister Evelyn, and she was right. Evelyn was everything he'd ever wanted, and never been able to get. That evening, Dr Hamilton asked the Mason's over for a soiree, and during a conversation about the human subconscious, Richard decides to kill his wife.
