After digging all day long in the spot indicated by the treasure map, Lum, Abner and Cedric unearthed an old rusty, mouldy trunk. By the fading light of a lantern, they found the trunk to be full of paper money - of large denominations. Unable to see anymore in the dark, they closed the trunk and dragged it as far as Abner's house, where they left it to be examined by the three of them first thing in the morning...
