When we last saw Lum and Abner, they had just received a phone call from Town Marshall, Uncle Henry, in which he had evidently given them some startling news! This call came, just as they were lamenting the fact that in carrying out their daring capture of Talbert and his partner, the old fellows had inadvertently burned up the stolen money which they had set out to recover!
