Jim Ellis an old prospector lived about four miles outside Star City with his little puppy Snapper. Jim was found murdered in his cabin and his gold had been stolen. However Snapper had torn a piece of red cloth from the parka of the murderer and with this clue and sergeant Preston's dog King's amazing strength and senses the killer is soon brought to justice.
