As the Lone Ranger rode by on Silver he said there was trouble on the trail ahead. Nearly twelve miles from the town of Cranston two men hidden in a gully watched the approach of a horseman. The older of the two, Ed Scott was in his forties with features that bore the marks of his years of crime. The younger, Lefty Cullen was under thirty but his mouth was thin and cruel.
