After a long trip from the east Colonel Hannibal Wade has assumed command of Camp Corbin an army outpost in Dakota territory. He inspected the camp and reviewed the cavalry regiment stationed there, then summoned all officers to his headquarters tent. His face was dark with anger as he thundered what a disgrace they all were to the army.
