Claudette Colbert and Jimmy Durante open the show with a trip round old New York and Jimmy sings the song Walking down Broadway. Along the way they meet Ronald Coleman who they mistake for a bum. On one corner they meet Dale Evans who reads out some dedications to the troops and sings a beautiful song, Amour, Amour, Amour. Continuing on their trip of New York they meet Alan Hale in a bar drinking beer and munching on chips. At a night club they meet Betty Hutton who sings a song then finally Ronald Colman sings!
