In the last adventure, Ivan Shark promised Chuck Ramsay that the young pilot would have an opportunity to say something to Captain Midnight over the radio to prove that he actually was in Shark's power. It is now early in the morning, just after Chuck has had a talk with Ivan Shark. The servant, Fang, has ushered Chuck back to the room where he and young Frank Crane, have been kept behind locked doors.
