Andy Hill has come to Dodge looking for a job. He is in the saloon talking with Kitty and Chester when a stranger comes in to the bar and propositions Kitty when she turns him down Chester tells the man to leave but the man threatens the unarmed Chester. Andy Hill is quick to draw on the stranger and kills him in self-defence. Matt is unsure of Andy Hill and feels that he is hiding something but Matt has just enough faith in Andy to take a gamble on him.
