Our story finds Inspector Blair on long leave in England. Through his relationship with Colonel Markham, Chief of the county Police, Blair is called in to assist on the solution of a strange murder mystery. Two men in succession have met their death by a strange weapon which has puzzled the local police. As our story opens we find Blair, Colonel Markham and Superintendent Coulter discussing the case.
