As we look in on the little community of Pine Ridge today, we find the old fellows in their Jot 'em Down store. Lum is seated at the checker board, and Abner is talking on the telephone to Miss Barton who wants to purchase some prunes. He turns to ask Lum, who stands up to take his turn at checkers, before he is accused of cheating by Abner.
