A distinguished gentleman from London, England arrives in Dawson and is met by Jud who notices the man looks lost and out of place. The man has come as he has inherited half a gold mine belonging to his late uncle Brad who was a good friend to Jud. Jake Stevens half owned the mine and Sergeant Preston was not entirely happy about the way in which Brad had died and suspects Stevens may have been involved.
