Jimmy Haven knew something was wrong as he trudged along through the snow silently besides his father John. John Haven had no choice to tell his son that they would have to sell his beloved husky dog, Chap, as they needed money to send his sick mom to be with her sister in California where the weather was warmer. However before he can be sold Chap is stolen by two bank robbers to be used in a getaway dog sled team.
