In attempting to help solve Cedric's romance troubles, Lum and Abner have succeeded in calling up Clarabelle to ask her to marry him. They also succeeded in getting an answer of YES! to this proposal. The only slip-up of course, is that Cedric called up the wrong number, and now nobody knows who it is that he's engaged to! As we look in on the little community today, we find the old fellows in their store trying to find a way out for Cedric.
