Cedric is fast becoming involved. First, on advice from Lum and Abner, he asked Clarabelle to marry him. However, he rang the wrong number, and proposed to someone known only as Miss W. Lum, in attempting to straighten this out, managed to get Cedric engaged to Charlie Redfield's daughter, Winifred. As we look in on the little community today, we find Lum talking on the phone in the little store and library.
