A rather portly, lady of means, has come to ask for Sherlock's help. Madame feels that she is in grave danger, and that her young, French husband - a famous violinist - is trying his best to be rid of her, by systematically and cold-bloodedly poisoning her. Is Sherlock the only person who can save her?
