A story of police corruption and murder. The story opens with a gangster, Rowan, being shot, before the story quickly moves over to the airport where the police commissioner is just arriving. Lamont and Margo are there waiting for him, as Margo wants him to make a speech on crime prevention. However, when there's a kerfuffle over at a different gate, they take into custody the man they suspect of the murder - and so Margo doesn't get her speech. Back at the station, the Shadow knows that something isn't right, and he visits the prisoner...
