Sergeant Preston was sent down to San Francisco to pick up Red Gavin, who was wanted for murder in White Horse. He took King with him. The tall, broad shouldered, red coated Mountie attracted a great deal of attention in the city, but people were even more interested in King, a real lead dog, veteran of the fabulous Yukon trail. The men at Police headquarters were no exception!
