There was a modest little apartment house on the corner near the tracer's office. Outside the apartment there was a large Belgian shepherd dog stood looking up at a ground floor window and baying unhappily. From time to time the dog would leap with all his strength towards the closed window only to fall back hour after hour. Of course it attracted attention from many who passed by, and eventually also by Mr. Keen and his assistant Mike Clancy as they walked back to their office from lunch.
