Tom Lacey had worked for the business for years and expected to be made a manager when the owner retired but old man Forrester was sending one of his nephews to run the business, Ed Forrester a kid right out of school who knew nothing about the business. Tom feeling sore robbed the vault when he closed up last night of more than a quarter of a million pounds of jewellery and planned to leave for South America with his wife Julie if she would stand by him.
