This is a story about those men most concerned with death and with life, the doctors in particular the surgeons and the hidden dangers they face. Charles Clay is taken in to hospital suffering with acute appendicitis. He is an elderly man but still having his appendix removed should have been a simple operation. However he goes in to a coma and his son and daughter-in-law who had recently been cut out of his father’s will are worried that he may die before they can get him to change his will back.
