A Case of Identity is the story of a man who tried to lose himself. Harry’s wife had the idea for her husband to get himself insured for $100,000, which she would get upon his death. Once the policy was in place Harry plied a hobo with alcohol and lured him in to his car. He then drove him up a mountain and put him in the drivers seat and let the car go over the mountainside. Harry now needed to disappear until the police were satisfied he was dead and his wife could collect the insurance and they could get back together. But Edna had other plans and did not want to know her dead husband once she had the $100,000.
