Carol Carson has been let out of prison after only two years and now Matt and Sue Wilson are worried that she is going to want her child Betsy back. Old man Carson had given the child away as he didn’t want Betsy being brought up by a woman who had killed his son even if she was the real mother. But the law said custody of the child should go to the real mother. Matt and Sue were determined that custody of Betsy should remain with them. Carol Carson only wanted Betsy so that she could keep custody of the farm. When Carol Carson is murdered Matt finds him self suspected of her murder.
