The night was quiet and the fog was closing in grey misty patches swirling about the street lights of the commercial district on the waterfront. The tower clocked said twenty minutes to eleven as Glen Philman stepped out of the office of the Marathon chemical company. Outwardly he seemed calm as he walked in the all night diner at the corner of the street. Then an explosion as heard and the chemical plant was on fire and Glen's partner Max Lindman was in there.
