Back in the heart of the depression, back in 1932, there was a man who lived with his mother and his brother in a shack, in a shack town, on a river in a southern state. A carpenter by trade, finally giving into the frustration he felt from living in a shack, he decided to build a house - and not just an every day sort of house. It was one of the most wonderful houses ever built in this country. This is the story of that man, Marshall, and his mother, brother and the house.
