This is a memorable and some may say wartime-special edition of "The Breakfast Club" where the news is just in that Britain has declared war on Japan. As usual there is Music and it includes "Swing For Sale" by The Vagabonds as well as some orchestral numbers but much of the broadcast is given to the transmission of uplifting news. Many of the wartime episodes have a different tone to those from peacetime and we find they are in keeping with the mood of the nation at those most difficult times. There is less in the way of frivolous humor and more in the way of news and bulletins. For anyone who takes an interest in these times and who values an understanding of our national feelings during WWII such episodes as these are an invaluable document.
