Walter Stone was a big man presenting a formidable appearance. It would seem as if he would be capable of standing up to almost anything. In some men there is the will to do that but in others there’s an instinct to run, to take the easy way out and in spite of his forceful look, his seeming aggressiveness, Walter Stone was one of those.
