It's afternoon now in Seacliff, San Francisco, and Fanny Barbour comes into the library and finds Henry once again in his armchair near the bookshelves, peering at the big, lighted globe of the world. Deeply absorbed, he fails to look up as Fanny walks in, sits and begins her knitting. They are talking about Paul being stranded due to adverse weather, and Henry has been on edge, until he receives a call that he is once again on his way. Next stop, Honolulu. Let's hope he gets home before Joan gives birth!
