Clifford Barbour's attitude toward his work at the real estate company is closely related to Maudie Pemberton apparently, for when all goes well with Maudie, the job and Clifford are in harmony too. This certainly proved to be the case today! After Maudie called him this morning and told him she hadn't had a date with another man as he had suspected, Clifford tore out of the house and went to work fired with enthusiasm. As a result, he sold two lots and there has even been talk of a promotion!
