That harried looking young man just turning into the drugstore a couple of blocks off Seacliff Drive, San Francisco, is William Herbert 'Pinky' Murray, grandson of Henry Barbour. Pinky is full of business this evening. He goes to the telephone booth and puts in a call to Belvedere across the bay. That conversation lasts thirty minutes, and when he hangs up, he has five cents left in his pocket. He peers out of the booth to see what time it is, then fingers his lonely nickel and pops it into the telephone slot...
